Following the meeting, IBM provided these answers to questions which were raised during their Product Announcments session:
When will the Security redbook be published?
The residency for the Security redbook has finished, we do not have a date for publication yet.
Are there any issues with upgrading CICS to TS3.1 w.r.t DB2 V8 - any good/bad points?
There are no external changes to the CICS-DB2 adapter for CICS TS V3.1. These are the required DB2 PTFs that we were
aware of at the time of the announcement. Note that there are still a large number of customers at CICS TS V1.3, so
as they look to migrate to V3.1, they will be able to exploit the features for DB2 that were introduced in CICS TS
V2.2 and V2.3 - namely Open Transaction Environment (OTE) for thread safe programs using DB2, DB2 group attach, and
support for DB2 restart light.
